The current dark menu is just a shade of gray. Where an OLED truly shines compared to an LCD is with a true blacks, not grays. Hopefully the next system update adds a true black theme for the OLED systems.

But if the source material doesn't have any grain, an OLED display won't add it. Games and other non-compressed media won't show any issues.
