WebbAlthough many features of this line no longer exist, the now “Listed” Shankend Viaduct stands to this day, as a magnificent monument to all who helped in it’s construction. Another station was built, barely two hundred yards south of the viaduct. Like Stobs, some 2 ½ miles to the north, Shankend station served only a small number of people.
